If you've looked up at Smith Tower at some point in the last couple weeks, you've probably noticed that strange orb peeking out from the 22nd floor. It's not, in fact, a surveillance beacon watching what you bought from the hot dog vendor. It's a remote sensing device that take measurements that could be used to determine if objects (read: buildings or streets) in the area are moving due to the Seattle tunnel work. As the owner of J&M Café shows in the report, not everything is as stable on the ground as you'd hope. [KOMO]
