It's Tiny Enough, Think of it as a Large Garden Shed

New, 2 comments

Welcome to Tiny Homes, an idea that is more popular with minimalists than with neighborhood associations and zoning boards. We'll point out the fun parts. You'll have to check out the logistics and legalities - but this one's been around since 1942, so at least that is taken care of.

Don't think of it as a tiny house with hardly any ornamentation. Think of it as a very large garden shed with enough room outside to grow enough flowers for a wedding or enough food for a small family. The basic stats are basically dull, 2 bedrooms and 1 bath $279,500. But, the value may be in the fact that the ground is cleared and ready for seeds, and the house is equipped with a mudroom - even though it is only 710 square feet. Spend the spring getting the growing going. Then, spend the summer with paint, appliances, and projects that make the place yours. The neighbors will probably appreciate your efforts, and your home will more than just another box surrounded by just another lawn.
