Redfin has released their latest report about the state of the real estate market and they've got good news for local buyers. According to them, there were 4,006 new listings in the Seattle area (King and Snohomish counties), up 11.2 percent in February, the biggest increase in four months. That's good news since we're still 24 percent off the total inventory from this time last year and need to make back some ground.
Seattle-area median home prices was $360,000, down slightly from last month but up 2.9 percent from this time last year. Median list price checks in at $406,300, up almost 7 percent from last month and almost 13 percent from last February. As for homes sold, 2,505 sales happened, a 14.1 percent bump from the previous month that puts up 4 percent ahead of where we were in 2014.
