Welcome back to Curbed Comparisons, where we scour Seattle's rental listings to see what your monthly budget will get you across the city. Today we find out what $1,300/month can get you. You tell us which lease you'd sign.
↑ Let's begin in U District where you can find a 447 sf 1-BR at Muriel's Landing for $1,295/mo. It looks like the unit is actually somewhere between a studio and one-bedroom. The building is geared towards being an "Active Building," encouraging residents to build a profile so you can connect with your neighbors. You're either really into that or really not.
↑ Next up is Wallingford, where this 650 sf basement 1-BR is available for $1,300/month. "Great for a UW faculty member, writer, musician or graduate student who likes a quite home, yet wants to be close to popular places to socialize." The "closet-kitchen" is an interesting touch.
↑ Now let's head over to Queen Anne where you can find this 540 sf 1-BR on the basement level for $1,295/month. Features include concrete floor, soapstone counter tops, natural wood cabinets, dishwasher and vintage-style tiled bath. A reasonable short walk to Uptown, though that walk back uphill might be a bit tougher.
↑ Now it's off to North Admiral where you can find this 750 sf 1-BR at The Park Hamilton for an even $1,300/month. A bit spartan and dated but it makes up for it in size and amenities that include the built-in fireplace, radiant heat and large private deck.
↑ Finally, we end up in Belltown where you can get a 443 sf. 1-BR at Moda for $1,306/month. This is one of the classic Seattle trade-offs. Tiny space in an amenity-filled building in a desired location.
