Seattle's Best Burgers; Taco Libre Truck Showdown

This week's top hits from Eater Seattle, Curbed's sibling bar, restaurant, and nightlife blog.

BURGER BATTLE -- Eater has squared off 16 burger spots across Seattle in a battle of epic proportions. Readers' votes have whittled the field down to the final two, Giddy Up Burgers and Red Mill Burgers. You have until tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. to vote for the grand champion.

MEALS ON WHEELS -- For the third year running, Mobile Food Rodeo will host their Taco Libre Truck Showdown Saturday, May 2, from 5 to 11 p.m., along 5th Avenue near Union Station. As always, access to the over 30 food trucks is free—each offering at least one taco for $5 or less, even those not typically Mexican leaning—and 20 of these trucks will compete for $1,000 cash and the Golden Taco Award. Eater has a preview over this way.

EATER MAPS -- Who knows burgers better than the really (legally) high folks walking around Seattle right now? Chefs, that's who. The knife-wielding, oft-butchery happy folks throwing meat at the grill at Seattle's best restaurants have a lock on technique, and we're always asking them what they're eating. For Eater Seattle Burger Week, we rounded up a heaping helping of chef-ly advice for you to consider the next time you're making a burger run.
