Landslides

The first publicly available catalog of global rainfall-triggered landslides shows how Western Washington is the most-affected area in the nation when it comes to landslides. They measured more than 100 regional slides since 2007, though they also not that fewer than 5% of the roughly 20,000 fatalities were reported in North America. [CL]
