Where to Eat and Drink in Leavenworth; New Restaurant from RockCreek Owners

New, 1 comment

This week's top hits from Eater Seattle, Curbed's sibling bar, restaurant, and nightlife blog.

EATER MAPS -- Bavarian-themed Leavenworth is super cheesy. But if you look beyond the facades, this mountain town just over two hours from Seattle has plenty of worthwhile places to patronize. Next time you're in Leavenworth to hike, raft, visit the Nutcracker Museum, or get drunk and float down the river in a tube, here are 13 great options for eating and drinking.

COMING ATTRACTIONS -- Another Creek is coming. Several weeks ago, Eater shared the (joyous) news that RockCreek chef Eric Donnelly and his partner Christy Given were opening a new restaurant in Greenwood. Here now, the name of the new space will be FlintCreek Cattle Co, and the concept—from a pair so far known for their seafood—will be meat galore.

VITAL UPDATES -- Naming a restaurant after an automobile makes perfect sense for Roz Edison and Kamala Saxton (Marination, Good Bar). The pair got their start, after all, roaming Seattle in their Big Blue truck in 2009; fast forward now and here comes their sixth project in as many years: the newly christened Super Six in Columbia City. Taking over a former automotive garage with vaulted ceilings on 3714 S Hudson Street, Super Six is named for a Hudson Motor Company sedan released in 1948.
