Yesterday, we asked you to guess where this hotel-strewn block is located today. Must've been a toughie cause we didn't get any correct guesses. Long gone are those hotels and in their place is a big Banana Republic. That's right, it's 5th Avenue and Pike Street.
Images: UW Libraries, Google Maps It makes sense that Downtown would be full of hotels back in 1910. However, as the city grew up and grew outward, the downtown core became more of a shopping destination and this block is right in the midst of that.
