Spend $2M for Front Row Seats to Seafair (& Get a House)

New, 1 comment

It isn't waterfront, but you can see if from there. Evidently, you can see so much from there that the Seafair hydro races are right in front of you, the Blue Angels will fly right over you, and you can be one of the prime places for a party. Is that worth $2,098,000? It helps that the price also buys a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath house with 3,285 square feet. The lot is 8,102 square feet, and includes a lap pool; so, it has its own version of waterfront. Swim laps most of the year, and then for one weekend, float along while the turbines in the water and in the air scream around you. Go inside if you want some quiet. The 1982 architecture looks classic Seattle from just before everyone had heard of Microsoft. The long, angular wood ceiling lines are typical of the era. The appliances have been upgraded, and the master bath has probably always had that awesome view. Congratulations if they managed to situate the tub so there's no need for curtains. Throughout the west-facing windows, let the sun shine in, bringing views of Lake Washington, Seattle, and the Olympics - with occasional jets and boats blasting by.
