Fort Lawson Military Homes Being Restored & Remodeled

New, 1 comment

In February we learned that RISE Properties Trust has paid $9.5M for the 26 Colonial Revival residences leftover from Fort Lawton in Discovery Park. Friday, RISE announced that it will begin restoring the homes for future sale. The restored Fort Lawton neighborhood will feature two distinct enclaves, Montana Circle and Officers' Row. The homes vary in size from two-bedroom, two-bathroom duplex-style homes of 1,700-sq. ft. up to single-family mansions, including the General's House which is a six-bedroom, four-bathroom mansion of more than 6,600-sq. ft. RISE will be working within the guidelines established by the Seattle Landmarks Preservation Board. While the nostalgic exteriors are being expertly refurbished and preserved, the interiors will undergo "a substantial renovation to harmonize the historic past with modern-day, residential amenities and conveniences." No word yet on how much they'll be asking for the homes, but we're going to guess the General's House fetches a pretty solid price. In the meantime, you can stay updated by registered at the Fort Lawson Homes website.
