Yesterday, we asked you to guess what this old library is and where it is in Seattle. We got a bunch of correct answers but angeline got it right first, it's the Ballard Carnegie Library."
Images: Wikimedia This library is so old it opened back when Ballard was it's own town (1904). Located at 2026 N.W. Market Street, it served the neighborhood until 1963 when it was closed and became a retail hub. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979, though it is still waiting on City of Seattle landmark status to ensure it can't be torn down. Today, you'll find the Kangaroo and Kiwi Pub downstairs.
