Tomorrow, Daly Partners and Bushnaq Studio Architecture + Design bring their designs for a seven-story mixed-use building at 718 Rainier Ave S before the design review board for early design guidance. The proposed 70-foot-tall project would include 130 apartments, 22,000 sf. of commercial space, 75 below-grade residential parking spots, 150 bike parking spots and 80 commercial parking spots. Residential amenities would also include a rooftop community room, outdoor rooftop deck and greenhouse. Daly is building the project using Seattle's Multifamily Property Tax Exemption program, which requires a minimum of 20% of units leased at or below 65% median income for studios and 75% median income for 1-bedrooms. So at least some of these new units will be available to moderate-wage workers and those in need of affordable housing.
