Brick House, Green Pool & Brown Lawn in Magnolia for $1.8M

New, 5 comments

Some houses are snapped up in days. Others take years. The sellers should be commended for their patience.

The house was listed over a year ago, which means the photos are probably from last summer. They proudly display their brown grass, which is ironically beside a green pool. An interesting choice in the use of water. For over a year, this brick Tudor has been for sale. At the end of last year, they dropped the price from $1,995,000 down to $1,795,000. It is a historic home, or at least has longevity, because it was built in 1924. The 3 bedroom, 4.25 bath, 4,170 square foot house is classic, partly built-in, partly the way they decorated it. A few of the touches are old-style ornate, something to preserve, or decorations that can be readily replaced. The view hasn't gone out of style, though. Look southeast to downtown Seattle, Elliott Bay, and the Cascades from a house with a style that must be just right for someone - though evidently no one in the last year.
