Early Look at Loft Building Planned for 1820 Boylston Avenue

Tonight, Capitol Hill Lofts, LLC and Nicholson Kovalchick Architects take their plans for an eight-story building at 1820 Boylston Avenue before the design review board. The proposal calls for approximately 56 residential units and 15 below-grade parking spots. According to renderings, the residential options will include loft & townhome units on the first two floors and penthouse units on the top floor. While the "monolithic" structure isn't going to wow many folks, the use of materials and subdued colors should help to integrate it into the area better than some. The existing 1920's two-story apartment building on the site will be demolished.
