Former Starbucks CEO Lists Laurelhurst Mansion For $3.7M

New, 5 comments

Jim Donald joined Starbucks in 2002, eventually working his way up to CEO by 2005 before moving on to become CEO of Haggen Food & Pharmacy and then Extended Stay Hotels. When he started with the Seattle coffee giant, he and his family moved into 6,342 square-foot five-bedroom at 4315 N.E. 33rd St. in Laurelhurst. Thirteen years later, they're moving to new digs and they've listed the luxury residence for $3.7 million. Originally built in 1909, the expansive home has had some serious renovations done but maintains a lot of period details including carved columns, ceiling beams, inlaid wood floors and leaded windows. Outside, the wisteria-draped pergola and deck garden overlook Lake Washington. Up top, "the penthouse" is a bedroom-plus with great views as well. Don't feel bad for the Donalds, they're moving to a Tom Kundig home in Leschi (possibly this one?) to go with their Orcas Island property.
