Some houses are snapped up in days. Others take years. The sellers should be commended for their patience.
Let's just reflect on the size of the drop. The asking price has come down by $1.7M. That's enough for yet another fine Seattle house, though probably one that isn't as nice as this $4,200,000 Webster Point home designed by Lionel Pries. When we first mentioned it in September 2014, the price was $5.9M. By December 2014, the price was down to $5.5M. As recently as May 2015, it was at $4.8M. Now that it's down to $4.2M will someone finally buy this 5 bedroom, 3.75 bath waterfront house with 5,380 square feet inside, on a 0.36 acre lot with 87 feet of Lake Washington shoreline? Outside, there's moorage via a private dock, a sport court, a deck for enjoying the view, and lots of landscaping. Inside, the Northwest Contemporary styling comes though with a mix of minimalism, Mondrian, and shoji influences. Left as is, it is an homage to 1965, which was when it was built. Because it isn't heavily decorated, there's also a lot of opportunity to express yourself, or your designer's self. The view alone makes the place appealing, though evidently, not at the prices offered - yet.
