Arthur Loveless 7-BR in Seward Park Lists For $3.7M

New, 2 comments

Arthur Loveless's legacy is as one of Seattle's prominent midcentury architects with a focus on Tudor Revivalist styles. While most people think of his UW houses or the Loveless Building, he also have a bunch of classic Seattle homes to his credit like the seven-bedroom Seward Park estate at 7144 55th Ave S which just hit the market. Asking $3.7M, the massive 1940 home is only part of the draw. The other part is the lot and location, a 2.08-acre lot that includes 110 feet of waterfront. You're greeted with a gorgeous circular staircase upon entering and many of the rooms look like they maintain the vintage charm of their day. Looks like the attic has been primed to be a cozy bedroom or office as well. Looks like the buyer is going to have to consider some renovations and upgrades on top of the price (that kitchen, tho...). The last time this place was on the market in 2008, it was asking $6,280,000. So they've come down a little bit...
