Next Monday, Caron Architecture and Briar Box Inc. will take plans for a six-story urban-infill apartment building at 471 NE 73rd Street before the design review board for early design guidance. The proposed structure will include approximately 40 residential units, 1,500 square-feet of commercial space and 11 underground parking stalls. Located one block east of Green Lake Park, the site will also feature a rooftop deck with full view, given the fact that the building will tower over all nearby structures. Based on numbers provided, it look like residential units will average around 409 square-feet if the preferred plan is taken into consideration, though there are options for smaller units. Currently a parking lot, the 6,000 square-foot site is bordered on both sides by standing buildings, including the Great Hall at Green Lake, which is a Seattle historical site.
