University of Washington grad Anker Molver made a name for himself for his richly textured dwellings in the Seattle area. Slightly north in Edmonds, he designed the 4-BR at 8609 Talbot Road that just listed for $1.5 million. Settled across a 130-foot high-bank waterfront ridge, this midcentury is apparently on the open market for the first time since it was completed in 1967. Checking in at 3,387 square-feet, it has a lot of classic midcentury modern touches but also includes a few unique lines and angles that make rooms like the dining area stand out. The direct view of the Sound from the dinner table doesn't hurt either. Tons of hardwoods and wood paneling keep you firmly in it's era. Downstairs, the huge workshop area leads out to a stunning view as well, proving everything here was built to take advantage of the location.
