Cornerspotter: Let's Go Back in Time & Back to School

New, 2 comments

Cornerspotter is the Curbed Seattle feature in which we show you a historical photo taken somewhere in the city and you identify the location. Impress fellow Curbed readers with your knowledge by leaving guesses in the comments or send them to our tipline: seattle@curbed.com. We'll post the answer on Friday. And hey: no cheating!

Seattle teachers go back to school today so we thought it might be fitting to do the same with Cornerspotter. Here we are in 1962 as a group of Seattle kids head up an overpass adjacent to their school. At the other end of that overpass awaits a park with play areas, tennis courts a basketball court and much more. All those vintage cars are long gone but everything else is still there (including a new crop of kids making a break for the park). So, any idea where this spot is?
