Where's The Glass in Dale Chihuly's Childhood Tacoma Home?

New, 1 comment

We'd love to tell you that a young Dale Chihuly spent his childhood in this house experimenting with glass sculptures and that the paint drippings on the basement floor were a form of early artistic expression by the future glass artist. But the truth is that he probably didn't do any of those things when he lived in this four-bedroom home at 4301 N 33rd Street in Tacoma. But he did live there for a time and if you're some kind of Chihuly completist, we suppose that means you might want to pay $389,000 to live here. Celeb status aside, the home does feature original mahogany trim, newly-restored hardwood floors and a remodeled kitchen. Plus that basement could easily be turned into a MIL unit or perhaps an artists space for the next Dale Chihuly who lives here.
