Last Week's Biggest Sales: Custom Bellevue Waterfront Estate Gets $4.7M

New, 1 comment

Listed for: $5.4M
Received: $4.68M
Size: 4-BR, 5.25-bath, 6,920 sf.
Location: 10319 SE 30th Street, Bellevue
The Skinny: Doug & Bobbie Webb bought this spot in 1986 for $475K and built this near-7,000 square-foot waterfront residence (with a little help from architect William Buchan). Not too showy (all things considered), it's built more for comfort and appreciating the view than for luxury. That initial asking price had to come down real quick but once it did, the sale came just as quickly.

Listed for: $4.4M
Received: $3.85M
Size: 3-BR, 2.25-bath, 3,160 sf.
Location: 6031 77th Ave SE, Mercer Island
The Skinny: Built in 1949, this Lakeview Highlands residence comes with 100 feet of west-facing lakefront access. Classic, clean colors inside with plenty of wood accents to maintain a connection to the exterior. Originally listed in June, the place went pending in September following a price-chop and further negotiation.

Listed for: $3.9M
Received: $3.7M
Size: 5-BR, 5.5-bath, 7,930 sf.
Location: 2520 Mount Baker Dr S, Mount Baker
The Skinny: It's been a long time coming for this sale. The city of Seattle took over ownership a few years back and has been trying to unload it since. There was one close call in November but this final one finally went through. What they get is a 1922 Georgian on a 34,283 square-foot property, both of which exude old Seattle luxury. Rustic in parts and elegant in others, it looks like the kind of place you really want to go room-to-room in and just smell them. Is that weird?
