Don't Be Too Passive, $1.05M Palatine Passive Available Now

New, 2 comments

In November, two Seattle homes opened their doors and participated in International Passive House Days, an event to celebrate residences that meet the Passive House Standard. Now, one of those homes wants you to walk through the doors, buy it and close them behind you. Palatine Passive, the distinct 3-BR, 2.25-bath at 8713 Palatine Avenue N is now on the market asking $1.05M. Malboeuf Bowie Architecture created this eco-friendly gem, which is actually still in final stages of Passive House Certification. That aside, stepping inside looks a bit like stepping into a pristine space. Don't touch anything until you've actually bought it! The whole design is stripped down but deceiving as it includes touches like a ladder to a loft space and spartan master suite that provides a mixture of luxury, light and lots of open space. Out back, a stripped-down carport design where you can step up to the residence once you've parked. There aren't very many homes in Seattle that look like this and even less that are this sustainably-built.
