Hey, Hotel 1000 is pretty nice so what's the deal with everyone selling it? One of our essential hotels of Seattle, the 120-room hotel was sold to Thayer Lodging Group and Provenance Hotels last June for $63M. Now, they've gone and sold it to Loews Hotels & Resorts. The sum is undisclosed but it was "for a profit" according to a press release. For the time being it will keep the Hotel 1000 name but will "transition the hotel into our luxury brand, Loews Regency" next year. Sounds like there are changes ahead, we just hope the virtual golf room sticks around.
