The Hottest Restaurants in Seattle Right Now; Mamnoon's New SLU Spot

This week's top hits from Eater Seattle, Curbed's sibling bar, restaurant, and nightlife blog.

HEATMAP -- It's the answer to many a question: What are the hot new restaurants? Who's the latest chef to open a new place? Where should I eat right now? The Eater Heatmap is a current reflection of the buzziest restaurants and places so new, they might not be on the collective radar yet. Check out the adds and drops for this month, January 2016.

PLYWOOD REPORT -- Last month, Eater reported that the Mamnoon owners were making a foray into the South Lake Union/Regrade area with a venture called Mamnoon Street. Now we've learned they're opening another spot next door called Anar on Amazon's new 6th Avenue Doppler Campus. The ventures will join a new Marination location, which just opened there, and a forthcoming Skillet outpost. Apparently, Anar will focus on the "ancient traditions of juice and vegetarian dishes." More details over this way.

SWITCHEROOS -- In the waning days of 2015, Coastal Kitchen quietly changed hands. But the new owners, who've declined to give their names, aren't changing much about the popular Capitol Hill restaurant. The staff and menu are the same, but interior improvements may be coming. The 24-year-old restaurant will mark its 100th touring menu in April.
