A little bit of everything planned at NW 56th Street & 17th Avenue NW

Greenbuild Development and Caron Architecture will present their plans for a new mixed-use, multifamily development the corner of NW 56th Street & 17th Avenue NW in Ballard to the design review board this evening Monday, October 17.

The proposed development is a seven-story building with 88 residential units (85 SEDUs and three regular apartments) at 5512 17th Avenue NW. The residential entry lobby, roughly 1,700 square feet of retail space, and two live/work units will be located on ground level. There is no parking included and none is required.

Some of the residential amenities include personal storage and bike storage on the underground level, additional bike storage on the ground level, an amenity space on the rooftop deck, and second-floor gym.

Some of the units will include private patios while others will come with balconies. Those units cut into the square design of the structure to give it’s shape something that stands out. The live/work units will be behind the apartment structure with frontage on 56th Street.
