Average Downtown Seattle condo prices hit $950K in September

That’s up from an average price of $846,935 from a year ago

We’ve got some September condo sales numbers for Downtown Seattle and what we see is that there were less sales but higher prices than a year go.

The Downtown area saw 74 condo sales last month with an average cost per unit of $950,927 and median price of $842,650. A year ago this time, we were looking at 101 sales with an average price of $846,935.

Interestingly, the average days on market has skyrocketed from 18 to 49, though that might have something to do with the influx of options in the market over 2016.

The most expensive condo sold in September? That was the Four Seasons penthouse that went for a whopping $7,155,000.

The Mark Company Trend Sheet for September is also out and what stands out among their trends is that new construction absorption was up 19 percent over the month with 32 new units sold. Meanwhile, resales of old condo was down 33 percent over the same time.

Mark Company notes that the Four Seasons Residences are now completely sold out (for now) while Insignia is down to their final twenty units (out of 678).
