$17M estate is now most expensive listing in Bellevue

A gated estate with all the luxury trimmings

Right now, the most expensive listing in King County is a massive property on Vashon Island asking $33M. That’s followed by a $22.6M home on Mercer Island (down from $26.8M) and an $18M home on Vashon. The fourth-most expensive listing in the county is now the most expensive listing in Bellevue, a five-bedroom, 8,246 square-foot estate asking $16,980,000.

Located on a near-acre gated lot with 162 feet of private waterfront, this 2000-build seems to strike a balance between opulence and comfort. The interiors aren’t gaudy or caked in rare materials for the sake of it. The place is designed for luxury but it also feels like the kind of home you want to just take a nap in. Everything in the main living area is about enjoying the view while enjoying your company. That’s a rare feat for a residence at this level.

So what gets us to $17M then? Well let’s not kid ourselves, this place is is still loaded with luxury features. Downstairs you’ll find a large media room and game area as well as a wine cellar. A massive, four-door garage can hold up to six cars with room leftover for a workshop. Up above you’ll find a guest apartment. When the weather’s right, gather everyone on the 1,000 square-foot veranda for a dip in the outdoor spa, walk along the emerald lawns, or head to your private dock to take your boat (you definitely have a boat) out on the lake.
