Renovated Mayfair Manor condo calls for $285K

The tiny one-bedroom is full of vintage details to go with it’s modern renovations

Design firm E. A. Gabryel & Company constructed Mayfair Manor apartment building in 1928. The Capitol Hill complex is one of several constructed along the block that tried to contrast with the typical brick designs of the day. In particular, this design was meant to evoke an Elizabethan manor house.

In recent years, the apartment building has gotten a complete overhaul and you can get a sense for how they’ve maintained the vintage details while also bringing things into the 21st century with the tiny condo inside that just hit the market.

Asking $285K, the one-bedroom, 499 square-foot unit is located on the top floor and faces south towards the skyline and Mount Rainier. Rooms are bright and distinct from one another. The kitchen has been updated and has a bit of a country feel. The bathroom maintains it’s period sensibilities with painted subway tile and vintage fixtures.

It’s the bedroom that stands out most thanks to a checkered wallpaper and diamond window that lets you peek into the dining area while also bringing a little bit of natural light in.

The building itself also has plenty of upgrades, from the boiler to the roof. Your unit also comes with basement storage and bike parking.
