New York Giants kicker Josh Brown has been embroiled in controversy for some time now as allegations of domestic abuse against his wife have boiled over and an investigation has been re-opened by the NFL. Brown previously kicked for the Seattle Seahawks between 2003 and 2007. While here, he and his then-wife bought a five-bedroom, 5,630 square-foot home in Woodinville. Brown was arrested at that home on suspicion of domestic violence in May 2015. He was not charged at the time but the couple has since divorced.
The Seattle Times reported Thursday that Brown had interned as a broker at the Bellevue office of real estate agency JLL but he will not be returning to that position now. That got us curious about the Woodinville house in question and we noticed that it actually sold last month for $2.15M. The Browns had purchased the home for $1,589,000 in 2003.
The stately home sits at the end of a gravel driveway, clad in cedar shingles and surrounded by flora and hedges. Some of the notable features include a rustic laundry/office room, multiple en-suite bedrooms, and a sizable backyard. In that backyard you’ll also find a two-story barn with an unfinished loft as well as a treehouse.
The place comes with a terrible backstory but hopefully the new owners can bring some positivity in with them.
