Cool Camano Tiny Cottage Tucked Away & Asking $212K

New, 1 comment

In 1969, someone wanted to get away, but not too far. They built a 576 square foot, 2 bedroom, 1 bath cottage/cabin on the north end of Camano Island. It is an island, but no ferry required, unless the causeway washes out. When the traffic is working with you, it is an hour and a half to downtown Seattle; but, maybe you don't have to go that far. There are jobs in Everett and Bellingham. Of course, buying a house for $212,900 may also mean not having to work as hard, be in debt, or spend much time taking care of the place. The cabin may be far from a lot of urban environs, but the 12,585 square foot lot is mostly forested and about as close to the house as possible without getting in the way. That's a proximity you might consider a luxury: quiet, self-maintained, cool in summer, cooler in winter - which is appropriate because the address is on Cool Road, though that may be a sixties thing. Cool, man. Now, it may be just the right place to chill. Same thing, sorta. Netflix optional.
