What 2-BRs Can $2,000/Month Get You in Seattle Right Now

New, 1 comment

Welcome back to Curbed Comparisons, where we scour Seattle's rental listings to see what your monthly budget will get you across the city. Today we decided to find out what $2,000/month can get you around town with the added caveat that you're looking for a 2-BR place. You tell us which lease you'd sign.

We begin in First Hill where Landes is offering an 800-square-foot 2-BR for $2,000/month. It's the "other" thing in Seattle named for Bertha Landes. While you get a decent amount of room here the setup does feel "open" or "urban" as they put it. Good news for dog owners, they include a mobile groomer that provides door to door service.

Next we head to Belltown where Moda has a 587-square-foot 2-BR available for $1,998/month. Now that sounds pretty snug for a two-bedroom but we suppose it depends on the layout. They tease a two-level apartment in the photos but don't take our word for it. If location trumps apartment size, this place comes out ahead.

Now we go to Magnolia where you can find a 955-square-foot 2-BR at Overlook at Magnolia for $1,985/month. Units here include balconies, updated appliances, skylights, fireplaces and vaulted ceilings. Downstairs, full amenities including a fitness center, jacuzzi and DVD rental library (if you're still using DVDs).

Now we head away from apartments and check out a 1,000-square-foot home in Ravenna that's renting for $1,995/month. Plenty of brick to go around in this 1910 home. The larger bedroom even has a brick bed nook, so try to call dibs on that.

Finally we end up in West Seattle's Gatewood where a 1,050-square-foot house is available for $1,995/month. As a bonus, it also comes with a cottage out back to be used as a home office or studio. There's even a private yard to boot.
