Developer Peter Ottele and David Foster Architects will present their plans for a residential complex at 4801 Fauntleroy Way SW tonight to the design review board for a potential recommendation. Plans call for a four-story 53-unit apartment building that also includes one live-work unit and 2,575 square-feet of retail. Vehicle parking will not be included (due to proximity to transit options) but there will be space for 20 bikes. They plan to build plenty of sustainable features into the complex, including a green roof, edible garden on roof deck, rain water collection cisterns, and low-flow plumbing. No specifics given but unit sizes are expected to provide "housing options to a variety of potential users and budgets."
