COMING ATTRACTIONS — Stateside owners Eric Johnson and Seth Hammond are planning to call their next-door bar project Foreign National, and it will involve a "small cocktail lounge" with 25 seats and a menu with "an exotic cocktail list and Asian-inspired drinking snacks." Foreign National will hopefully open in June, and if Stateside's excellent food is any indication, this one should be exciting.
EATER MAPS — Brunch has always been a big deal in Seattle, but is breakfast a lost art? It's tough to find a true breakfast, one that starts before 10 a.m. and serves the most important meal of the day. Though seriously underrated in this city, here's a round-up of restaurants that are doing right by eggs, pastries, yogurt, and more, giving these satisfying dishes the attention they deserve.
EATER INSIDE — Behold, Skillet's fourth brick-and-mortar restaurant, opening tomorrow in the Amazon Doppler building at 2050 6th Avenue. The restaurant will serve a menu familiar to Skillet fans, with breakfast, lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch. And here's a fun twist: Skillet Regrade will host "happy lunch" Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., with smaller portions of the fried chicken sammy, burger, and other lunch items all under $10. There's also going to be an evening happy hour Monday to Friday 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. with discounted cocktails, featured tall boys, and wine. Skillet Regrade will have a daily breakfast burrito, too.
