Cornerspotter: The Days of Tasty Foods Are Over

New, 2 comments

Cornerspotter is the Curbed Seattle feature in which we show you a historical photo taken somewhere in the city and you identify the location. Impress fellow Curbed readers with your knowledge by leaving guesses in the comments or send them to our tipline: seattle@curbed.com. We'll post the answer on Friday. And hey: no cheating!

Seattle Municipal Archives

We don't know if Hesse Restaurant did indeed have tasty foods but we'll take their word for it. Time have changed on this corner since 1940 and that building isn't even there anymore. Now it's a bank and, what else, apartments. So even if Del-Teet Furniture Store was still there, you couldn't see that sign on the brick wall anyway. So, any idea what Seattle intersection we're are?
