The national perception of Seattle is that it rains. All the time. Nothing but rain. Rain rain rain. The last few months have seemingly backed up that notion as Seattle has broken it's record for winter rainfall according to the National Weather Service. A total of 22.78 inches of rain have fallen at Sea-Tac Airport between December and this past Thursday, which beats the previous record of 22.77 inches set in the winter of 1998/1999. Of course, that doesn't mean the winter rains are done. A quick look at the extended forecast infers that we can expect rain during at least half of the remaininig February days, including Friday and Sunday. We'd tell you to keep the umbrella handy, but, you live here. So you know.
