Last Week's Biggest Sales: Patty Stonesifer's West Seattle Condo Sells For $2.3M

The three most expensive sales last week around King County.

Listed for: $4.5M
Received: $3.61M
Size: 5-BR, 2.75-bath, 4,221 sf.
Location: 4412 95th Ave NE, Yarrow Point
The Skinny: This one back in June at $4.5M and immediately seem to realize it had overvalued itself. The price came down three times before a pending offer finally came in almost $900K lower. There's certainly a lot going on. 94 feet of private waterfront, in-ground heated pool, spa, fire pit, sports court and 150-foot dock. Plenty more inside the 1967 home (1998 remodel) as well. Just not enough to justify $4.5M.

Listed for: $2.8M
Received: $2.28M
Size: 3-BR, 3-bath, 4,057 sf.
Location: 1661 Harbor Ave SW #600, North Admiral
The Skinny: Another place that spent a bit of time on the market, this one originally listed in September 2014. Couple price changes and listing removals along the way but they finally found a buyer, though for a bit less than orifinally asking. The seller is Patty Stonesifer, former co-chair and chief executive officer of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and current President and CEO of Martha's Table. The place comes with a home office, three fireplaces and five parking spaces.

Listed for: $2.2M
Received: $2.07M
Size: 5-BR, 4.75-bath, 5,300 sf.
Location: 6037 Atlas Place SW, Alki
The Skinny: This 2004 house actually has the furnishings to go with the view. Each room seems to use as much of the view of the Sound as possible, but also has character worth noting as well. The formal spaces, like the living and dining room have pillar and box beam highlights emphasized by painted trim work. The kitchen is finished with rich cabinetry, tile back splash, marble counters, and art glass lighting.
