Look at this place. Seriously, just take a moment to scroll through the photos to get a feel for it. Then meet us under the gallery.
So where does a place like this exist? Somewhere out by Stevens Pass? Maybe its someone's getaway up in Index or over in Enumclaw. It must be isolated and woodsy and one with nature.
It's in South Park.
Wait, what?
Located at 842 S Southern Street just blocks from the Duwamish, this 1902 home was completely gutted and remade as a cabin retreat, basically. We suppose since the owners couldn't get away to the wilderness, they brought wilderness living to them.
This is no backwoods building, mind you. The woodwork throughout sets the mood. With a soapstone sink and high-end commercial appliances, you can cook just about anything. The living room and it's fireplace scream rustic charm. There's two separate washer & dryers, begging the question of how much laundry you guys are doing.
Though there's a bit of a tchotchke forest to work your way through and we've got questions about how all of the furnishings work together, but clearly there's been a lot of love put into this place.
