Hunts Point Industrial Modern Hits Market Asking $8.6M

This modern 5-BR contains a lot of empty space but makes the most of it

Depending on how you approach this 2000-built 5-BR, 4.75-bath in Hunts Point, you might have a different idea about what its trying to convey.

From one angle, grassy steps lead up to a foreboding steel and glass box that resembles a modern fortress. From another angle, it's a rolling angular structure that feels like it's slowly melding with the surrounding nature.

Inside, the spartan space is accented by cement, steel and wood on all sides. It's all big ceilings and big windows to match. There's very little to delineate between rooms, allowing one living space to roll directly into the next. Long walkways and big walls are clearly there to showcase your art collection.

The master suite includes a separate living room of it's own, both of which boast great views of the waterfront just outside. Even the shower gets a great view, though we hope the glass looking in is tinted for your sake.

The workout room comes with a rock wall that would make some gyms blush. And of course there's a theater room because of course there is. Out back (or is it front?), there's 78 feet of shoreline with your own private dock.
