Richard Tsang of Tsang Enterprises has big plans for 2121 Fifth Avenue in Belltown. He wants to build a 17-story hotel and condo tower in a spot he paid $4.1 million for last year.
Plans call for 88 hotel rooms, 68 condos, 1,700 square feet of retail space and seperate lobbies for both of the hotel and housing properties. The tower is limited to 160 feet because of its proximity to the 24-story Martin apartment tower and the probably-won-be-built Potala Tower project.
Only three parking spaces are planning for the project. According to plans, the lot doesn't have room for parking ramps and a mechanical parking system would be cost prohibitive. The project is not required to offer parking.
Caron Architecture is the architect on the project, which went before the design review board last night for early guidance.
