Landmark Property Holdings and Casey+DeChant Architects are bringing early designs for a mixed-use complex at 2912 Beacon Avenue South before the design review board for some guidance this evening.
Early plans call for a four-level complex that includes approximately 72 residences, 1,100 square-feet of retail, 23 below-ground parking spaces and up to 70 secured bike stalls. The units will be a mixture of studio, 1-BR, and 2-BR and will be spaced throughout the entire structure, including the ground floor behind the retail space and one lucky unit in the basement level.
Up top they've proposed a rooftop deck with two ends. A walkway bordered by green roof plantings on both sides would connect them.
They've presented multiple options but the preferred design keeps it simple geometrically along Beacon Avenue in an attempt to reduce building mass and keep it in line with other nearby commercial buildings The three single-family homes currently located on the site would be demolished.
