Last Week's Biggest Sales: Nate Burleson's Former Newcastle Home Gets $3.1M

Last week's biggest sale was a house that used to belong to Nate Burleson. You remember him?

Listed for: $3.28M
Received: $3.1M
Size: 6-BR, 7-bath, 8,871 sf.
Location: 15508 SE 79th Place, Newcastle
The Skinny: Originally listed in May 2015, this was once the home of former Seattle Seahawks WR Nate Burelson. The over-sized Newcastle property has all the luxury features you'd expect (gym, elevator, theater room, and sports bar). Interesting, they'd actually come down to $2.95M on the asking price, so the fact that the eventual purchase price when back up makes us think more than one buyer noticed it at the right time.

Listed for: $1.875M
Received: $2.24M
Size: 4-BR, 3.25-bath, 4,590 sf.
Location: 1122 Federal Ave E, Capitol Hill
The Skinny: Now here's a place that was in demand. This 1909 Capitol Hill classic listed on February 2 and ended up going pending one week later $365K higher than the asking price. Your backyard looks out on Volunteer Park and inside is a renovated old home that doesn't feel "over-renovated." Simple but solid.

Listed for: $1.698M
Received: $1.805M
Size: 4-BR, 3.5-bath, 3,477 sf.
Location: 219 13th Ave, Kirkland
The Skinny: Another recent listing (Jan. 21) that went pending quickly (a week) over the asking price (roughly $100K). This new construction from Krueger Homes has a much more modern feel inside than it might seem from the outside, especially in the bath and kitchen. For someone looking for a custom home in a nice neighborhood with all the amenities, it's a solid choice.
