Five Least Expensive Homes in The Junction For Now

New, 1 comment

We looked for the five cheapest homes for sale in The Junction, which only has seven homes for sale. Demand demands some supply.

Yet another neighborhood that has a tough time providing a half dozen homes for sale. The Junction in West Seattle has a few, and all except one are on the neighborhood's borders. At least that means more time to tour each offering.

Okay, so the photo looks a little cartoonish, but the place is brand new, finished in 2016. Maybe they've been so busy building and selling that they haven't had the time to grab a camera. The unit listed is a 3 bedroom, 3 bath, 1,862 square foot condo for $724,990. And, yes; nearly 3/4 of a million dollars still puts it in the five cheapest because there are so few to pick from. Supply and demand at work. The rooms are described as having 18 foot ceilings, polished concrete floors, metal railings - all sounding very modern. One that that's natural: the view of the Olympics from the roof deck

The style looks familiar. So does the address. The size is almost the same: 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, and 1,647 square feet; but the price is $90,000 less: $634,990. The difference is probably second floor versus top floor. What a difference a few feet make.

Nearby but with a different name and price is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath, 1,717 square foot condo that is also new. They're Built Green with radiant floor heating. The view is similar and includes Mt. Rainier. The price is also similar: $629,950. Ah, but these sellers found their camera; which makes it much easier to see the modern design as well as the innovative (at least around here) combined bathroom shower. Turn the bathroom into one big shower and clean it and yourself simultaneously.

It may be smaller than the others at 1,365 square feet, but somehow they managed to fit in 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. The multi-floor condo also has a fenced yard in the remainder of the 1,245 square foot lot. You can also sit outside on your balcony. They're asking $515,000 for a 2007 combination of bamboo, stainless steel, and granite, which are materials that continue to be in style.
Get tiny and watch the price drop. This 1 bedroom, 1 bath, 603 square foot condo is offered at almost half the next cheapest option: $275,000. There's a lot less condo, but a lot less to worry about, too. Besides, with so much within walking distance why pay for space that you borrow by going to the gym or hanging out at a coffee shop? A few hundred thousand pays for a lot of lattes.
