Welcome back to Curbed Comparisons, where we scour Seattle's listings to see what your budget will get you across the city. Today we decided to find out what $700,000 can get you in the West Seattle neighborhood of Alki. You tell us which lease you'd sign.
↑ We begin at 1526 Alki Avenue SW where Unit 104 is available for $649K. Some solid sound and mountain views from the living room and patios (there are two), though not so much from the bedrooms. At two-bedrooms and 1,214 square feet, it's sizable enough and the master is en suite for a little extra room. Not the most luxurious condo we've seen but it certainly hits the right notes for Alki living. Don't forget the $484/month in HOA dues.
↑ Next up we go literally next door to 1550 Alki Avenue SW where Unit 204 is available for $695K (plus $560/month HOA). What's the benefits of this slightly-more expensive spot? Big windows and doors looking out on the sound and letting in so much light. The kitchen's much bigger in this 1,521 square-foot space as well. The second bedroom easily becomes an office, workout room, or TV room.
↑ Now we go to 3015 B 60th Ave SW where one of the new construction townhouses on this block is available for $699K. The HOA dues are only $45/month for this Alki 8 home where they've tried to make it feel like a community within the community. There's a common courtyard, tandem parking and "some of the best decks ANYWHERE." Those decks do look nice, though the view isn't too much to get excited about. This place is less about the view than the modern features inside the kitchen, bedroom, and bathrooms.
↑ Finally we head up to Alki Point where 1140 Alki Ave SW where Unit 304 will run you $709K plus $484/month in HOAs. This Duwamish Head Condos 2-BR has actually dropped it's price recently from $729K. The remodeled unit will get you unobstructed views from the Olympics to downtown Seattle. Really nice floors and cabinetry throughout and there's space and openness to everything, which is rare in condos this size.
