A multifamily residential apartment complex is coming soon to High Point

Shelter Holdings and SMR Architects are presenting plans for a new residential complex on land owned by the Seattle Housing Authority to the design review board on Thursday.

Upton Flats will be located at 6058 35th Avenue SW in High Point. Plans call for 102 residential units, two live/work units, 10,159 square feet of commercial space, 111 parking spaces, and 41 bike parking stalls. The commercial space, which may be occupied by Seattle Housing Authority, is situated along the majority of the 35th Avenue SW street front.

One 1,300 square-foot retail space will anchor a pedestrian plaza at the corner of 35th Ave. SW and SW Graham street. The multifamily residential apartments will be located at the rear yard of level one and on levels two through four and units will consist of a mix of studios, one-bedroom units and two-bedroom units.

Some of the amenity spaces will include two roof decks, a central club room, exercise room and entry lobbies along this pedestrian corridor.
