Watch Seven Summits Lodge's Disappearing Pool Disappear (And Eventually Comes Back)

Swimming pool, meeting space, or dance floor. Making up your mind can be tough. But, if you can afford it, put everything in one package. They did at Trilogy in Pierce County.

Finding room for a swimming pool is hard enough. Finding room for a dance floor the size of a swimming pool as well is a level of luxury few houses attempt. Seven Summits Lodge, a new resort community opening on April 9th, has added a room that houses both in the same space. Trilogy at Tehaleh contracted with Hydrofloors to install a 24 x 49 x 5 foot swimming pool that includes a dance floor.

Remember the movie, It's a Wonderful Life? Back in 1946 they used such a pool, but it involved massive floors that had to be shifted aside to reveal the pool (and dump some of the actors into the water for the movie.)

Trilogy and Two Tides' pool fits it all into one space by either floating the floor, or pulling it to the bottom. One space, two ways to play. Some innovations eventually make it into homes. Are any dancers that are swimmers going to include one in their next build or rebuild? Considering the innovative nature of the Seattle area, maybe someone already has. (In which case, send us a video.)

Trilogy at Tehaleh is Pierce County’s first 55-plus active adult community and features homes starting in the low $300s. Seven Summits Lodge is located at 19001 142nd Street East in Bonney Lake.
