47-Unit Capitol Hill Apartment Complex Looks For Approval

The preferred plan calls for 47 "small" apartment units, 16 parking stalls, and 1,150 square feet in amenity space

Sunrise DC and d/Arch LLC are bringing their plans for a six-story apartment building at 323 Bellevue Avenue E in Capitol Hill before the design review board tonight for recommendation.

The preferred plan calls for 47 "small" apartment units, 16 parking stalls, and 1,150 square feet in amenity space. Originally plans called for 24 apartments and street-level commercial space but it looks like they've put the kibosh on any retail options.

The new building replaces the Sterling Apartments, which was built in 1956. It was denied landmark status last year.
