Another Mixed-User Planned For Rapidly-Changing Roosevelt

Seattle's Roosevelt neighborhood is growing up and this seven-story mixed-use project is part of that

Developer HIVE and architect Board & Vellum will present plans to the design review board this evening for a seven-story mixed-use building at 6717 Roosevelt Way NE for early design guidance.

Plans call for approximately 95 apartment units, 2,853 sf. of ground-floor commercial area, 34-38 parking stalls and 37-40 bike stalls. The location is just blocks from an upcoming light rail station in Roosevelt.

According to the preferred design of three submitted, units would range from 406 square-foot studios up to 1,099 square-foot 2-BRs with open-1BRs and regular 1BRs in-between. A semi-public alley would be included to help increase neighborhood connectivity by mixing street usage for the complex and the public. There'd also be a bike storage and workshop on the ground as well as a rooftop deck with pet area, green space and BBQs.
