What Goes Down in the Smith & Burns Studio Lounge?

Is the only thing holding you back from starting that project the inability to just go downstairs from your apartment and start working?

Ever since we first heard of the Wallingford apartment complex Smith & Burns, we'd been curious to know more about the studio lounge located inside. We're used to seeing lots of the same apartment building amenities: bike maintenance stations, dog runs, gyms, rooftop decks (so many rooftop decks...). But we don't see too many features like a "hobby room" for apartment residents.

So now that Smith & Burns is open, we inquired.

Not only stocked with tools and materials, this artsy craft area includes work stations and even books on art crafts, woodworking, sewing and more. It’s like having your own garage or craft room to work in, and you can store your personal supplies in lockers for convenience...Accented with local art and artifacts from the past, this social space should inspire creativity.

The lounge is actually one of a few "social spaces" that the Smith & Burns includes for residents. There's also a library and fitness center. And, of course, a rooftop deck because we're pretty sure you're required to have a rooftop deck.

Check out some pics from the studio and start thinking about whether or not the only thing holding you back from starting that project is the inability to just go downstairs from your apartment and get to it.
