We checked the listings for the five most affordable homes in Broadview. Let's see if any of them have a broad view.
Two of the advantages of owning a townhouse: you get the benefits of being on the ground floor, which makes it easier to get in and out, and easier to have a patio for a container garden and a grill; and you get the benefits of being on the top floor, which means a chance at a view and no one dancing on your ceiling. There are a couple of townhouses for sale. The one in the photo is a 3 bedroom, 3 bath, 2002 unit with 1,760 square feet and an asking price of $449,950. Still under a half a million dollars, and no lawn to mow.
Just a block or two off Greenwood, this 4 bedroom, 2 bath house has sat on a 6,969 square foot lot since 1948. The architecture looks a little more modern than that, but maybe it was a trendsetter, or had a massive remodel. In any case, the 2,200 square foot house is listed at $544,999. After looking at the rest of the photos, you might want to take a tour to put the house in focus.
With a 10,800 square foot lot and a separate shop, this 1941 house provides plenty of opportunity to complete projects. They're asking $598,000 for the 4 bedroom, 1.5 bath, 1,774 square foot house that has a classic shape. The small front porch is balanced by a large, covered back patio. If you want to see some interesting ceiling angles, check out the impressive work required to fit the dormer into the upstairs rooms. At least all you'll have to do is paint it, someday.
Behind the bright yellow door is a freshly painted house. Each room gets a different color, but only one has that shade of yellow. That room's upstairs, and bright. The house is a 1952 3 bedroom, 2 bath in 1,750 square feet. It is listed at $615,000, which also gets you the 6,751 square foot lot. A bonus is the enclosed hot tub for those times when you want to enjoy a nice soak without getting drenched.
Thanks to a slope, this mid-century (1951) has a broad view of the territory and a wedge of a view of the mountains. There's a big deck to enjoy it from and a 7,679 square foot lot that maintains a visual open space. You get that and the 3 bedroom, 2 bath, 2,180 square foot house for $624,950. Inside, there are hardwood floors, an upgraded kitchen, and a bathroom that is original and back in style thanks to the retro trend. Stand still long enough and fashion comes back around.
